Bethune Museum Community Development Association

Clemson’s Community Youth Development programs are proud to partner with the Mary McLeod Bethune Museum Community Development Association.  Together we’re working to honor the Legacy of Dr. Bethune by supporting education and training that leads people to independence; by creating opportunities for all citizens regardless of ages, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital or family status to thrive and become engaged citizens;  and to contribute to the personal, social and spiritual wellbeing of children, families, communities,  our state, country and world.

Additionally, in the tradition of recognizing Dr. Bethune’s contributions to society the BMCDA will strive to identify other individual’s contributions to society, believing that individual achievement aimed for the betterment of others can be emulated by everyone, particularly if we know the personal story of all to achieve in service to others.
