Military Kids


Camps/Recreation Events
 

South Carolina has received special funding from the Office of the Secretary of Defense to provide camps for military children and families – particularly for those with a deployed family member and those that are geographically dispersed throughout the state and not living on military installations.  Please contact any of the following OMK staff for more information:   Woody Nesbitt, OMK Coordinator, 803-773-5561; Christina DeVoe, Camp Coordinator,   843-833-1354; or Barbara Brown, OMK Director, 803-968-0388.    

Operation: Military Kids is a partnership of Army Child, Youth and School Services, National 4-H Headquarters/USDA, and Clemson University. Operation: Military Kids - South Carolina  is supported by the 4-H/Army Youth Development Project under Kansas State University special project number 2007-48661-03868.

SC OMK has formed a partnership with the South Carolina Recreation and Parks Association (SCRPA) to create recreational, educational, and social support programs in communities where SC military families live.
